The Vallentine et al. (2010) study looks at how a semi-structured interview can be used within a clinical setting – with the added twist of the setting being Broadmoor Hospital!

Case Studies
You need to know be able to evaluate and apply the use of case studies in clinical psychology. You have to do this by referring to an case study in the area.
The Bradshaw study looks at how CBT techniques could be applied to a young woman with a history of schizophrenia. It gives you both an example of a clinical case study, as well as alternative to offer as evaluation when discussing family therapy for schizophrenia.
