What is clinical psychology?

Clinical psychology involves both the scientific study and treatment of mental disorders. It uses psychological theories and research methods to look at what causes mental illness, and tries to develop therapies to help those who suffer from it.

A really good place to start learning about clinical psychology is the BPS careers website.
